This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Smongle® ("Application") for iOS that was created by mechsat e.U.
User Provided Information
Account Login
The Application requires the user to login with their Smongle® Serial Number and grid suppliers GUEK (Global Unicast Encryption Key).
An account creation is not neccessary.
The login data is stored locally in the app and the user provided GUEK will also be stored on the Smongle® Server for automatic real time data decryption.
Real Time Decrypted Data
All data related to the user is stored on our own servers located at our headquarter.
Only limited mechsat developers have access to these servers.
The connections from our server to the user's mobile device are encrypted with SSL.
The Application does not collect or store data from the user's Smongle® devices.
This data is being send to our servers by the Smongle® products directly.
In General
No third parties see and/or have access to any information stored on our servers.
Only if you join an energy sharing community then the community provider gets access to the relevant data.
Data is not a revenue model for us. This means that we do not use it for marketing or sale to third parties.
Security
We care about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information.
Please be aware that, although we strive to provide the best security possible for information we receive,
no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason.
We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
